Basic Electronics for Propmaking is designed to strip away the confusion of electronics and teach you the essentials you actually need to bring props to life.
This course focuses on simple, practical electronics commonly used in prop builds, without diving into advanced math or heavy coding. You’ll learn how everyday electronic components work, how to connect them safely, and how to integrate them into props and costumes.
You’ll learn how to:
• Understand basic electrical concepts like voltage, current, and polarity
• Power props safely using batteries and power modules
• Wire LEDs, resistors, and simple lighting effects
• Use buttons, switches, and triggers
• Read simple wiring diagrams without feeling confused
• Solder and assemble electronics
• Troubleshoot common issues like flickering lights, dead circuits, and shorting
This course is built around real scenarios and experience, showing you how to plan electronics early, hide wiring, and design systems that are durable, portable, and easy to maintain. This course is ideal for anyone wanting to level up their prop builds with simple LEDs or functional buttons!
By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence to add lights, buttons, interactive elements to your props and understand why they work, not just how to copy a diagram.

Most 3D printing courses teach you how to make parts that look good. This course teaches you how to make parts that move, hold up under stress, and work reliably in the real world.
This course is all about designing and printing parts intended for motion: Hinges, joints, linkages, mounts, gear interfaces, and mechanical assemblies, using accessible tools and techniques. Whether you’re building animatronics, props, cosplay components, or custom mechanisms, this course focuses on what actually works.
You’ll learn how to:
• Design parts specifically for movement, load, and repeated use
• Create durable hinges, pivots, and sliding mechanisms
• Account for tolerances, friction, and wear in printed parts
• Orient and reinforce prints for mechanical strength
• Choose materials and print settings for motion-focused components
• Design assemblies that are easy to test, modify, and repair
• Avoid common mechanical failures like binding, cracking, and loose joints
This course emphasizes real-world problem solving, showing you how to troubleshoot designs when parts don’t behave as expected, vand how to fix issues before you waste time and filament.
By the end of the course, you’ll understand how to design and print mechanical parts that move smoothly, last longer.
If you’ve ever thought, “Why doesn’t this move the way I designed it?”… this course will answer that!

This course is a practical, in-depth introduction to Arduino and coding (using C++) for anyone who wants to control real world hardware like lights, motors, sensors, and interactive systems. Instead of treating Arduino as just a coding exercise, this course focuses on using it as a creative tool for building things that move, react, and perform. You’ll learn what a microcontroller is, how Arduino boards work, and how to safely power, wire, and connect common components used in physical builds.
You’ll then dive into Arduino programming fundamentals, including inputs and outputs, timing, logic, and program structure, with every concept tied directly to real hardware. As the projects grow in complexity, you’ll learn how to organize code so it stays readable and reliable, how to run multiple systems at once without blocking or lag, and how to avoid common mistakes that cause jittery motors, unresponsive sensors, or unstable systems.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to design and program complete Arduino-based systems from scratch rather than relying on copied example code. You’ll understand how Arduino fits into larger builds involving motors, sound, lighting, and sensors, and you’ll gain the confidence to troubleshoot problems and scale your projects. Whether you’re building animatronics, robotics or interactive props, this course provides a solid foundation that grows with your ideas!

Ever wanted to bring a prop or animatronic to life, but felt overwhelmed by coding, electronics, or complex robotics systems? This course is designed to make animatronic and robot control approachable, even if you’re a complete beginner.
In this video course, you’ll learn easy, practical ways to control servos and motors for props and animatronics using beginner friendly (and free!) tools like Bottango and RC-based control systems. Instead of diving straight into advanced microcontroller programming, we’ll focus on methods that let you see results fast.
You’ll learn how to:
• Understand the basics of servos, motors, and motion control
• Use Bottango to animate movements visually, no coding required!
• Set up simple RC control systems for real-time control
• Choose the right control method for props vs. animatronics
• Avoid common beginner mistakes that lead to jittery motion or burned-out components
• Build confidence to expand into more advanced systems later
This course is perfect for prop makers and cosplayers, animatronic beginners and anyone intimidated by Arduino code but eager to learn!
By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation in animatronic control, the confidence to experiment, and a clear understanding of how to bring your creations to life. No prior electronics or programming experience required!

This course teaches the fundamentals of modern animatronics through real, proven builds. You’ll learn how to design, build, and bring characters to life using techniques developed through my own animatronic projects: a fully skinned foam latex Animatronic Pikachu, a silicone Magikarp that moves and sings, and a Glamrock Bonnie head with motorized eye movement.
We’ll cover the full animatronics workflow: planning movements and joints, choosing mechanisms and motors, working with servos and linkages, wiring and programming microcontrollers, and integrating LEDs, audio, and synchronized movement. You’ll also learn skinning and finishing techniques, including working with foam latex and silicone, and how to design internals that stay serviceable and durable for filming, conventions, or long-term use.
This course is designed for makers, YouTubers, cosplayers, and prop builders who want to move beyond static costumes and simple LEDs into believable, character-driven motion. By the end, you’ll have an understanding on how to build animatronics that emote and bring your build to life, and you’ll have the skills to design your own moving characters from scratch.
